Florida Drug Rehab Centers

Contact NumberDrug abuse has tripled in the United States in the past 10 years. With more than three million people in the country currently addicted to a drug, there is a growing need for treatment centers. In Florida, there are many facilities that are available to those who are looking for professional help to overcome their addiction. The road to recovery is long and often painful, but the end result is rewarding, allowing the addict to be free from addiction. Choosing a drug treatment center will depend on what services the Florida addict will need. This is dependent on various factors, including the addictive substance, how long the person has been addicted, past history of drug use and abuse and whether the addict is addicted to multiple substances.

Types of Drug Rehab Centers for Florida Addicts

Studies have indicated that people with an addiction have a 70 percent better chance at overcoming their addiction when they get professional treatment. There are different forms of treatment available at drug rehab centers and treatment facilities all over the country.

The most common form of drug rehab is inpatient. This is when the addict will enter a program that will generally last for a minimum of 30 days. The addict will reside at the drug rehab center and undergo different steps to achieve recovery. The steps include detox, therapy and counseling and aftercare. People who attend a residential drug treatment program have a 90-percent success rate.

Outpatient care is beneficial to people who do not require the structure and ongoing supervision that are received in an inpatient program. Outpatient programs allow the addict to return home on a daily basis and continue to live their life. They will receive daily therapy and be required to attend support groups and group therapy sessions.

There are also detox-only treatment centers. When a Florida addict attends these programs, they will go through the detoxification process. These centers are medically staffed. During the detox process, addicts will experience withdrawal symptoms when the toxins from the drug are removed from the body. These withdrawal symptoms may be severe, and in some cases, life-threatening. By attending a drug detoxification facility, the addict will be supervised and receive medical care as they go through withdrawal.
